"What's the difference between a Tour and a Workshop?"

Photo Tour: You are guided to locations to capture beautiful images of unique subjects. No specialized skills, techniques, or equipment is usually needed. And photographic guidance is minimal. Basically, you are taken to a location and the rest is up to you.

Photo Workshop: You will learn new skills or work with specialized equipment to help bring home extraordinary images. In Mark's workshops, you also learn exactly what to do with your images after you take them. He has over 25 years experience as a professional wildlife photographer (Yes...that means he used to do it all on film but is now 100% digital). He uses Photoshop every day and generously shares his years of experience to help you optimize your images after capture.

Just a few of the things you will learn ...

 - Camera settings (ISO, Aperture, Shutter Speed etc...), how to choose them and when to use them (take your camera off of "Automatic" and feel comfortable doing so)
 - How your camera's exposure meter works and when to trust it or override it
 - RAW or JPEG, how they differ and which is right for you
 - Many non-destructive ways of adjusting your images in Photoshop
 - Removing "flaws" (like that bug that flies into the frame) using 'layers' and 'masks'
 - How to resize images for e-mail, web use, or printing (including printing on canvas)
 - And even how to make Photoshop do repetitive tasks to an entire folder of images while you're at lunch with friends ... and so much more.
